SwingersDome.com made us nervous at first. Now that we’ve used it several times…yeah, it keeps making us nervous.
Have you ever been walking alone somewhere, in the woods or down an alleyway, and suddenly been struck by the idea that someone could be following you, waiting to pounce? Even if you never saw anyone, you couldn’t shake the nagging feeling that something could happen at any time, and you’d be totally powerless to stop it?
For us, that was what using SwingersDome.com was like.
Even if we never actually got scammed during our SwingersDome review, we couldn’t shake the feeling that we could, at any time. The site is unbelievably buggy, and each error we found made us nervously check our computer systems and run virus protection software.
There’s just something a little shady about SwingersDome.com, but don’t take our word for it.
Actually, yes, take our word for it. We took the risks so you don’t have to, and we can tell you exactly why this site isn’t worth your time or money, and why you should avoid it.
Our Results Using SwingersDome.com For Swinger Dating
During our time on SwingersDome.com, we sent out 300 emails to men, women, and couples. It wasn’t too difficult to find that many, though it wasn’t as easy as it was on our top pick, SwingerProfiles.com.
Of the 300 we sent out, we got 56 replies. That’s a pretty bad percentage, and that’s one of the biggest reasons why SwingersDome.com isn’t on our list of recommended websites for online swinger dating.
Of the 56 couples that we talked to, we did manage to set up dates with 8 couples, which is the highest of any website outside of our Top 5 good websites. Only two couples showed up, however.
One of the couples was absolutely not worth dating. It wasn’t worth even finishing our drink, and we were so glad that we hadn’t suggested dinner. This is one of the reasons choosing the right venue for a first swinging date is so important—check out our guide to choosing the right place for a first date for more information.
We liked the other couple well enough, and wound up going to a hotel with them. Still, one couple out of 300 emails over three months isn’t a great deal, and we definitely could have done better. Our Top 5 websites, on the other hand, had a huge percentage of responses. Check out SwingerProfiles.com or EroticAds.com to see how much success we had on those sites, over 80% of responses compared to the pretty paltry 20% we had on SwingersDome.com.
Is SwingersDome.com Is Worth It – Or Is SwingersDome.com a Scam?
There’s something about visiting SwingersDome.com that just makes it feel like a scam. It’s sort of like walking down to a subway and needing to put your hand on the railing—you’re not sure if anyone’s ever caught a life-threatening disease from touching a railing before, but it wouldn’t surprise you if you were the first, and besides, you’re definitely going to be touching some hobo’s piss at some point.
That’s kind of what SwingersDome.com is like.
Well, without the hobo’s piss, as far as we could tell.
The first thing you see when you enter the site is that it’s based in Romania, and apparently does very good business there. Remember what we said in our guide to spotting spam and scams on swinger dating sites? Sites that mostly feature broken English are usually scams.
We’re not saying that no one could have a good experience on SwingersDome.com, but it’s going to be a lot less likely when you’re constantly worried that each new message could be a virus. We got a lot of unsolicited messages from girls in Eastern Europe.
Many of these girls were asking outright for plane fare to the USA. We’re not all about throwing money at a brick wall and seeing if it’ll bounce, so obviously, we declined. This is one of the most common online dating scams.
The biggest thing you need to watch out for when looking at dating sites online is the Long-Distance Lover scam. This is when a couple, single man, or single woman tells you exactly what you want to hear…for a while. They’re the perfect person for you. They answer all your questions happily. Then one day, they claim to want to come see you, but they don’t have the money for plane or bus fare. As a rule of thumb, anyone who asks you for money through a dating site is out to scam you. We encountered this scam a LOT on SwingersDome.com.
SwingersDome.com Review: Should You Use SwingersDome.com For Swingers Dating?
We’re not big fans of SwingersDome.com. Even if we never got a virus from the website, the constant fear of getting one kind of cast a damper over the whole experience. Plus, there weren’t nearly enough eligible couples to make us happy.
By our SwingersDome review, give it a pass and visit SwingerProfiles.com instead.
