Where to Go for Your First Time Swinging
It can be hard to figure out what you should do for your first time swinging. If you live in an area with several options or will be traveling soon and plan to start swinging, you’ll want to narrow down your options. It’s quite likely that your destination will have at least one swinger club nearby. If you and your partner are both going together, then you might want to try it somewhere you won’t be recognized. On the other hand, you might want to try it out in town, where you can easily go home to recover from your first time experience. Either option might work for you. Here are some of our thoughts.
The nice thing about staying in town is that you can easily go home, rather than having to remember where a hotel is and get to the club in an unfamiliar area. You’ll also be able to make friends at a local swinging club. Even if you don’t personally know anyone there, you have some things in common—you probably go to the same coffee shop, your kids go to the same schools, or you might have mutual friends. If these connections don’t exist, there’s still the fact that they’re the people you’ll see consistently at swinger clubs and parties. Making the connections early is a good idea for some people.
Going Out of Town
If you have plans to travel soon after you decide to start swinging, check out clubs and parties in your destination city. You can probably find one if the city is large. You and your partner can decide if you want to try it in that city. There are definitely good things about starting out of town. If you don’t want to run into anyone you know, especially your first time, out of town is probably your best option. You’ll never have to see the people there again if you don’t like it or if it doesn’t go well. You won’t risk your reputation among people you don’t know, whereas people near the swinger club might see you go in and draw the obvious conclusion. If things go wrong, then all you’ve lost is just a few hours, you never have to think about again; you can just go back to the hotel and forget the whole thing. There’s also the fact that you might choose to only swing while you’re out of town; that makes it the only option for starting.
The Bottom Line
There are definite pros and cons to starting out either locally or out of town. Things to think about are how likely it is that you’ll keep swinging? If you want to be able to escape back to the comfort of your home, go for a local club. If you do not want to bring a bad experience back to the house then choose an out of town club. Once you’ve worked those things out, then you can decide from where you want to get started.
